On Sunday evening, December 3rd, Adereth El celebrated its 160th Anniversary.
Attendees had the privilege of hearing from Rabbi Gideon Shloush as well as Co-Presidents, Seth Gillston and Jonathan Grauman, transporting us through the different generations that have graced Adereth El. We were honored to be addressed by Executive Vice President of the New York Board of Rabbis and prominent radio show host, Rabbi Joseph Potasnik as well as NY State Comptroller, Thomas DiNapoli. Each stressed the importance of being proud of our faith, religion and unique history. The Comptroller presented a Proclamation from the State of New York in honor of this historic gathering. It is now prominently mounted in the Synagogue lobby.
The evening also featured a lively musical tribute by jazz sensation, Rabbi Greg Wall & Friends, followed by a delicious dessert reception.
